A warm welcome to Knapps Farm, Somerset

Farmhouse, B&B and New Self Catering Lodges

Some history

We purchased Knapps Farm B&B in the spring of 2007. We have since made numerous improvements to the farmhouse and grounds. Improvements include; 2008 the kitchen was completely renewed with hand made solid oak units by a local craftsman; 2008 decided to rear 3 Alpacas, which after a few years of breeding the herd has now increased to 21; 2009 we had the small pond extended to an acre fishing lake stocked with Carp; 2010 we added a large glass roofed conservatory which makes an ideal place to sit and relax, especially for star-gazing. 2011 Knapps Farm Campanile was constructed which was 8 Bells, 10lb Mini Ring and has now been augmented to a 12 bell, 16lb Mini Ring. We are situated in a very picturesque area with outstanding views to Bath and we can even see the White Horse at Westbury. In 2012 applied for planning permission for four log cabins for self catering purposes and in June 2013 our first lodge was completed. 'Lake View Lodge' proved to be a very popular addition. So much so that during 2015 we added an additional 2 bedroom lodge built in the same timber styling. 'Heron View Lodge' is now available for rent.

New addition for 2015 - Heron View lodge is now available

As of June 2013 we have completed our first lodge and this is called Lake View Lodge. The lodge is a timber log building which was transported from Transylvania and erected on site. It has three bedrooms which sleeps six, two rooms with king size beds (one with en-suite shower, wc and sink), and a twin, a separate bathroom, living room/dining room and kitchen. There is a large veranda, with fenced garden, that has fantastic views over our acre fishing lake (see information below) and views towards Bath. In 2015 we added 'Heron View Lodge' – a spacious 2 bedrooms self catering lodge with the same features as Lake View Lodge including the stunning views.
